Ode to Autumn

Autumn is a rapidly fading memory now but I wanted to share a few more of the incredible spots I visited in Tokyo at its peak last year. There are so many more I want to see this year!

Rikugien Garden (六義園)

From late Nov to early Dec Rikugien Garden stays open late and puts on special nighttime illuminations. Reflections of the trees in the pond are especially beautiful.

University of Tokyo (東京大学)

The Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo has many magnificent ginkgo tree-lined avenues which can be freely wandered around and are only a stone’s throw from Koishikawa Korakuen.

Kitanomaru Park (北の丸公園)

Kitanomaru Park is technically part of The Imperial Palace Outer Garden and is equally worth visiting during autumn as it is during the spring sakura season.
