Made my first online job application this evening which was a rather hair-raising experience, although a staggeringly simple one. It’s incredible to think that just a few years ago applying for a job would have been a fairly different process in terms of doing the background research and then submitting your details via snail-mail for consideration which would take considerably longer. Although the process is now a lot more efficient it might be argued that the field of opportunities is so wide open and accessible to exploration that differentiating between them all has become a skill in itself.
I’m still entertaining the possibility of further study but to be honest I would like to be doing something where I can see the tangible fruits of my labor rather than just files full of theory. The prospect of work in the real-world is actually quite exciting but obviously a far cry from University life and fairly daunting.
Only time will tell what happens next…!
