Taikoo Dockyard from the air

Our home was at the 3rd (top) floor of the last building (nearest to harbour) in the row of worker’s quarters shown at the lower left corner of the photo. The ground west (nearer to the dockyard) was the soccer field before it was built. When it was still a construction site, typhoon Mary hit and no.10 was hoisted. We saw from our window a worker in helmet and poncho was running around looking for a place to hide. He went into an outhouse in the middle of the site. Within a few minutes, a gust lifted the roof, blowing it away. We could not see his face but he did move fast exiting.
As kids, we enjoyed very much the typhoons, but that’s kinda sick.
