Year of the Rabbit
If you follow the Chinese lunar calendar today we say goodbye to the Year of the Tiger and welcome the Year of the Rabbit. Since I’m still stuck in London I’ve had to take a break from risking life and limb among the usual cacophony of fireworks for a decidingly quieter affair.
Above is cute little video made to celebrate the occasion - apologies to viewers in China who wont be able to see it, but as you know there are always ways around these little problems. Happy New Year everyone

I’ve been in Nanshan, Shenzhen for a couple of weeks now, experiencing the build up to New Year. The last couple of days have been an orgy of eating and visiting, overlayed with the sounds of WW3 outside. Some people in our apartment blocks have been setting of rockets and mortars, either through their windows or from their small balconies for 23 hours a day!
Hope your work situation gets sorted as quickly as you want it too.
All the best

Hi Marc, glad to hear you’re enjoying the festivities! I’ll never forget the first time I experienced the crazy fireworks in Beijing (http://www.randomwire.com/cny2007) – simply crazy but quite exciting.
Catch you in SZ/HK sometime soon hopefully.
I hope I was there…Fireworks are fun.
